Crayola Lifetime Box

The Crayola Lifetime Box is an unsolicited packaging design concept for Crayola crayons. The concept is a reaction to my experience as a kid with the standard box falling apart quickly. The design was also informed by more recent observations of watching my own kid’s experience with Crayola crayons. I designed and prototyped this box to snap open and close confidently, like a zippo lighter. Its serious outer appearance gives way to the unexpectedly playful contents.
It holds any Crayola 24 count box of crayons, distinguished by the dripped wax detail on the case.
